The Uplift is here to help families feel lighter and stay closer — by making everyday planning, organising, and remembering a little easier.

These Terms explain how the app works, what you can expect from us, and what we ask from you in return. They cover things like creating an account, using features such as tasks, calendars, and avatars, and how account deletion works. We’ve tried to write these terms as clearly as possible. There’s no fine-print here — just the practical rules that help keep The Uplift safe, reliable, and fair for everyone. If anything is unclear, or doesn’t sit right with you, we encourage you to reach out before using the app.

Welcome to The Uplift, a family organisation and wellbeing app operated by Intentional Productions Ltd. (“we”, “our”, “us”). By using The Uplift, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

 

1. Eligibility

 

To use The Uplift, you must:

 

Be at least 18 years old, or have parental/guardian permission.

 

Have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.

 

2. Your Account

 

You are responsible for:

 

 

  • Keeping your login credentials secure

  • Ensuring all information you provide is accurate

  • All activity that occurs under your account

  • You may request account deletion at any time (see Section 11).

 

 

3. Use of the Service

 

The Uplift allows you to:

 

 

  • Manage tasks, events, and schedules

  • Create and maintain a family profile (names, dates of birth, relationships)

  • Generate stylised avatars from uploaded images

  • Connect your device calendar and reminders, if you choose to grant permission

  • Turn voice into tasks using OpenAI anonymised calls

  • Review and summarise your activity using OpenAI anonymised calls

 

 

You agree not to:

 

 

  • Use the service for unlawful purposes

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt the app

  • Misuse or extract the intellectual property provided by The Uplift

 

 

4. Calendar and Reminders Integration

 

If you choose to enable calendar or reminders access:

 

You grant The Uplift permission to read and write to your device calendar and reminders.

 

With your explicit consent, we will take a copy of relevant calendar data and store it securely in our databases to support features like shared schedules, predictive suggestions, and coverage tasks.

 

You may revoke access at any time in your device settings. Revoking access may limit functionality.

 

We do not access or store calendar data without your consent.

 

5. Image Uploads for Avatar Creation

 

When you upload a photo to generate an avatar:

 

The image is used only for real-time processing

 

The Uplift does not store the image

 

Only the generated avatar (the output file) is saved to your account

 

You must have the right to upload any image you provide.

 

6. Intellectual Property

 

All content in The Uplift — including text, visuals, templates, avatars, features, and branding — is owned by Intentional Productions Ltd.

 

You may not copy, distribute, or use this content outside the app unless we provide explicit permission.

 

7. User Content

 

You retain ownership of the data you enter into the app (e.g., family details, tasks, events, notes).

 

You grant us a limited licence to process that data solely to provide and improve the service.

 

8. Service Changes

 

We may update or modify the app to improve functionality. If changes materially affect your rights, we will notify you.

 

9. Termination

 

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

 

You violate these Terms

 

Your activity risks harm to the service or other users

 

You may stop using the app at any time.

 

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

 

The Uplift provides organisational and wellbeing tools but does not guarantee specific outcomes.

 

To the extent permitted by law:

 

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages

 

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service (if any) in the 12 months prior to the issue

 

Nothing in these Terms limits your consumer rights.

 

11. Account Deletion

 

You may request full account deletion at any time through the app or by contacting us.

 

Upon deletion:

 

Your personal data will be erased unless retention is required by law

 

Backups may retain deleted data for a limited safe-harbour period (normally 30–90 days)

 

12. Governing Law

 

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, unless the laws of your country require otherwise.
